Clayton M. Rich, President, Agency Principal
Mr. Rich is the Founder, President , Chief Executive Officer and Agency Principal of the Rich Insurance Agency, Inc. The Agency started in 1974 as C. M. Rich and Associates and changed their name to Rich Insurance Agency in 1975 when the Erie Insurance Group was added to the companies the agency represented. Rich Insurance Agency was incorporated in 1981. Mr. Rich received his first H.O. Hirt Founders Award in 1977. The Agency has received this award for the last 21 consecutive years. Mr. Rich received Erie’s highest award, the F.W. Hirt Quality Agency Award in 1994. He is a past President of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. Mr Rich actively manages the overall operations of Rich Insurance Agency and directs all marketing operations. Mr. Rich was born in Washington D.C. and was raised in Arlington, Virginia. In 1972 he moved to Loudoun County and Leesburg, Virginia has been his home since 1983. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia and East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. .
Sally Reed Rich, Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Secretary/Treasurer and Agency Principal
Mrs. Rich joined the Rich Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1984. She is the Secretary/Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer, and Agency Principal of Rich Insurance Agency, Inc. Under her direction, Rich Insurance Agency, Inc. received the H.O. Hirt Founders Award for 21 consecutive years and was active in the agency receiving the F.W. Hirt Quality Agency Award in 1994. Sally was born in Leesburg, Virginia and has been a resident of Leesburg her entire life. She has a daughter and two grand-daughters who also reside in Leesburg. Sally is a graduate of Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, Virginia and High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. .
Kevin Furgal, CIC, Vice-President and Manager Commercial Lines Division
Kevin started his insurance career in 1995 as an independent insurance adjuster. For over 10 years he worked as both a commercial and personal lines adjuster. Kevin came to work for the Rich Insurance Agency, Inc. in 2004 He started out as a commercial lines agent and quickly assumed more marketing and consulting responsibilities within the agency. The agency promoted Kevin to Vice-President and Commercial Lines Division Manager on May 21, 2008. Mr. Furgal completed his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) professional degree in 2010 and is a graduate from Elmira College in Elmira, New York. Kevin currently resides in Leesburg, Virginia with his wife and three children. .
